Fabulous Cheese at Sam's Club

We looooove cheese at our house! Are you a cheesey family, too?
I've always loved buying cheese at
Sam's Club because you can get so many high quality varieties at great prices.
So, you can imagine how tickled pink I was to hear that Sam's Club will be offering a whole new selection of gourmet cheeses from around the world!
And let me tell you, the folks at Sam's Club are serious about having the best cheeses you can find. Check out their adventure at the world-famous Chibas food festival in Parma (looking for the perfect parmigiana).
The talented Lori from Recipe Girl got to accompany the Sam's Club cheese buyers on their trip to Italy and you can read about her adventure here. It looks like she had an amazing time and they really listened to her opinion!

I was lucky enough to be sent the brand new varieties to try before they hit Sam's Club! We had fun eating some and also making an Ultimate Cheese Fondue (I'll be sharing the recipe soon!)Check out what will be on your local Sam's Club shelves:

Mario Batali Organic Parmigiano Reggiano
Mario Batali Mountain Gorgonzola
Provolone Stravecchio
Asiago Fresco
Fromage D’Affinois
Roquefort
Blue Stilton
Mario Batali Iberico
Parrano
Maytag Blue
DaVinci Gouda
Greek Isle Barrel Aged Greek Feta

Kerrygold Butter
You can read more details about each cheese here.

We lived in Europe when I was small, so of course I had to get the opinion of our family cheese connoisseur, Gourmet Grandpa! He was impressed--two thumbs up from this cheese lover! Here are some notes on his favorites!
Mario Batali Iberico: "definitely tangy, firm, and a little sharp aftertaste."
Favorite Blue: Mario Batali Mountain Gorgonzola! "The aging gives it a nice flavor without a sharp bite, a firmer mellower, delicious taste."
Favorite overall: Parrano! "Excellent flavor!!!" This nutty Parmesan is a winner!

A huge thanks to Sam's Club for letting us be among the first to try out these new cheeses! We're huge fans of their new cheese selections and know you will be, too!

Disclosure: I was given these cheeses to review and try. I was not compensated for this post. All opinions, as always, are my own.
